Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Signs $29 Million Contract to Build Illegal Immigrant Camps in the City
Residents in Chicago are urging Mayor Brandon Johnson to halt the acceptance of more illegal immigrants, but it appears that he's not responsive to their pleas.
Instead, the mayor has recently inked a $29 million contract for constructing camps dedicated to illegal immigrants within the city.
This situation resembles a slow-motion disaster where everyone can foresee a catastrophic outcome, yet no one can seem to persuade the leaders to prevent it.
According to The Daily Mail, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has discreetly approved a $29 million deal with a security company to establish migrant base camps. Meanwhile, local residents are imploring the city's Democratic officials to cease welcoming asylum seekers.
The city's agreement with the controversial Garda World firm, finalized last week, encompasses no less than six locations throughout the city, each capable of accommodating between 200 and 1,400 asylum seekers. The contract also includes provisions for bedding, laundry, showers, three daily meals, and security.
This development coincides with growing anxiety among Chicago residents due to a surge of asylum seekers arriving via buses from southern states. A significant number of these migrants have been transported north from Republican-led border states, seemingly to underscore the perceived shortcomings of Democratic immigration policies.
At a recent community event, one city resident raised concerns, asking, "I want to know if there is a capacity limit, and if so, what is that limit? Why can't we close the borders of Chicago or the state of Illinois initially? Why can't we secure the border?"
Since August 2022, Chicago has witnessed the arrival of 13,000 migrants, and this influx is anticipated to cost taxpayers $302 million by year's end.
The outlook appears grim, and anyone possessing even a modicum of common sense can discern the impending consequences.
The people of Chicago are on the brink of experiencing a reality unlike anything they have previously encountered.
